Job description
Construction electricians assemble, install, and wire the electrical systems in new homes and buildings. Light, heat, power, air-conditioning, and refrigeration operate through electrical systems.

Responsibilities
Tasks
- Supervise workers and projects
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Recommend personnel actions
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
